Student Outcomes

I chaired the Instructional Leadership Team from 2018-2019, 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. This artifact includes a Rolling Agenda from the 2018-2019 school year. It also includes documents that were created and utilized as I led the team to engage in virtual and in-person intervisitations. The purpose of these visits was to improve teacher instruction and student outcomes.

These artifacts are documents from the Saturday and Afterschool programs that I organized and led. These programs were designed to provide students in grades 3 through 5 with academic support and enrichment as they prepared for the State Exams.
Teacher Effectiveness

I organized consultant visits for appropriate teachers. This includes maintaining regular communication with the consultant and providing teachers with their schedule. In addition, I communicated with consultants following their session to debrief and discuss next steps for improving teacher practice.

In March of 2022 I was tasked with completing the Professional Development Plan that was started by members of the Instructional Leadership Team. I utilized the school goals and the instructional focus to plan activities that would help to move the school in that direction.

These are APPR Observation Reports that were completed after observing teachers' instructional practice. Teachers received feedback in all rated components and specific feedback that includes "glows" and "grows",

I created a document that allowed staff to develop their own professional goals and align them to our school goals. I also created a schedule to discuss their goals and an action plan. The purpose of this was to ensure that staff were taking an active role in improving their own practice.
School/Community Culture

This is a form that I created with the SIT Team to provide an opportunity for teachers to refer students for lunch detention who are in violation of the discipline code. In addition, when creating the master schedule, I ensured that there were at least two days built into the schedule with staffing to accommodate the lunch detention program.

As a member of the Event Committee I supported the team with planning events for the school community and families (in person and remote when applicable). I reviewed notifications that went out to staff and collected staff submissions and compiled them into various presentations.

I connected with the leadership team of our CBO partner, NYJTL to extend their virtues program to our day school program. After receiving the list of monthly virtues, I worked with Ms. Mack to inform staff about the virtues and have staff select students for recognition each month for upholding the virtue of the month.

This artifact is comprised of various agendas and items that I created alongside different school teams. These events were intended to maintain a positive school and community culture.
Organizational Management

These are samples of notifications and memos that were sent out to staff to ensure organizational order and school compliance.

This is a SIT plan that was created by the SIT Team. As the chair of the SIT team, I led the team members to develop the plan by delegating various portions of the plan to team members and then using meeting time to discuss the plan and make revisions as needed.
Please note that the actual document may not be uploaded online.
This is a Safety Plan that I completed as the BRT Leader. This plan includes information to maintain safety and order of all individuals in the campus building. I communicated with staff members/leadership from MS 484 to ensure that information pertaining to their school was accurate and up to date.

As the BRT Leader, I support the BRT team in responding to school emergencies. I schedule and ensure the implementation of evacuation drills and lockdowns to fidelity. During the 2021-2022 school year I scheduled a Table top activity with the Borough Safety Director Craig Edwards to provide the BRT with practice in responding to various situations.

Using information discuss during the weekly Attendance Meetings that I chair, I created the Attendance Keeping and Reporting Policy document. The document was, then, reviewed by the Attendance Team and the team provided suggestions for any revisions. This document provides staff and families with guidance around attendance procedures.

This is a promotional decision document that I created to allow teachers to document promotional decisions for students listed as "promotion in doubt". Once this document is received, I work alongside the school secretary to ensure that the promotional decisions are updated in ATS.

This artifact is comprised of several versions of the School Grading Policy. I created the original document in 2017. Subsequent versions of the document were created alongside the Instructional Leadership Team to reflect the changing needs of the school community as we shifted to remote and hybrid instruction. This document provides staff and families with guidance around grading procedures.

This artifact is comprised of staff schedules and staff post assignments to ensure that the building is adequately supervised at all points during entry and dismissal The schedules also ensure that staff receive their duty free lunch and that there is sufficient coverage at various points in the school day.
